Okay, I can't believe it.

Finally in the "southern-part-of-korea". Seoul.

It's an absolute gem of a city; absolutely relaxed in an asian context - completely busy and out of hand in a western one.
Sort of like a home from home for me, really.

Yesterday I spent my first day in south korea visiting the korean war memorial museum.
A huge modern museum with amazing exhibits - the complete antithesis of it's pyongyang counterpart.
Heck, they even had enough electricity to power all of the rooms.
And, of course, they have a very different version of the events of the korean war down here.

Well, to be expected, really.

As for activities, I am currently staying in a very pleasant suburb called Seoyoeng. Last night I went for dinner with a couple of friends I know through vancouver called Chris and Kun.
*sigh* korean food - does it get any better?
Of course, here they just call it food.

I'll be helping my friend Chris at a kids camp for the next few weeks, and am very much looking forward to meeting with all of the great koreans that have come through vancouver in the last couple of years.
In particular, I will get to see my great friend Aeja from the good old days of latte subordination at St.Arbucks, London. And Hosea, too!
